BOTH the Saturn and Apollo use the Sanyo SF-P101N mechanism.

As it turns out, this is a fairly common 'commodity' transport which is used also by MANY Cambridge Audio machines. My 840c? Check. All the way down to the '3 series'.

If the Rega machines have problems with this mechanism, than I'll bet that most everybody else who uses it has issues, too.

I'd NEVER spend more than commodity prices for a commodity machine. Anything more than 300$ or 400$ for a CD player is a waste, IMO.
