I had an early Magnavox inexpensive CD player. It was completely outclassed by what I replaced it with (Marantz CD-67SE II). I have still have Marantz. The unit no longer responds to signals from the remote, but otherwise it still works and sounds good (though not as good as the Marantz CD-5004 or the Denon DVD-3109).
