Well, I listened. Took several discs I know well. It's definitely an improvement on plain 105D players.
Joe gave a decent overview of what JLTi have done (post-DAC filter, SAW clock oscillators and energy storage being key) to the Oppo 105D to bring it to this new level of performance. One can readily hear the sonic qualities that make audiophiles go ga-ga. And I can see why others might be tempted by the satin sounds of the JLTi version. But not me.
