No! Never considered that! But, why would I have to take the Oppo out of the rack? The X1 is connected to the Parasound amp and it's in the rack. Also, I need the X1 and the XOno for my turntable. If the Oppo had a couple of analog inputs I might consider your recommendation.
Have you ever heard a Pass Labs X1? You might not suggest removing it if you had ever heard one. It is completely transparent. Furthermore, it has a balanced tape loop for my new TASCAM DA-3000, which is not in the picture. I guess I'll have to take a new picture. ;-)
