Yeah... I think that there's a fair amount of good value in those $500 to $1000 mid-end DACs. But there are also some that "fall down" by implementing a really innovative & creative idea and applying it to the DAC chips, - but (in order to keep pricing low, or whatever), end up sourcing a not so much power supply, clock, connectors, etc. that makes one wonder how viable would this "idea" be if implemented better.
