The MSB would certainly be outclassed by today's digital. I had the MSB Link III with the "Half Nelson" upgrade and Channel Islands upgraded power supply. But when I obtained a Benchmark Dac1 in 2004 or so, it was so far superior to the MSB that I put the MSB up for sale the next day. And the Benchmark DAC1 is outclassed by later digital, e.g., the Benchmark DAC2 HGC that I now have.
