Basic interface questions for iFi Micro-iDSD

Please understand that I am at ground zero on this subject.

Q1: Is it possible to connect the iFi Micro-iDSD to an Audio Note Transport, or is this a non-starter? I think their better transports only play Red Book CDs (or is it their Dacs that determine this, or both?).

Q2: If it is not a non-starter, then what is the "best" way to connect the transport to the Micro-iDSD? (AN transports have AES/EBU and S/PDIF outputs, but not USB, although i am assuming there are devices that convert S/PDIF to USB).

Yes, i do have a MacBook Pro with Itunes, but this is dedicated to another system and I don't want to haul it around and set it up every time i change from system in another room to my main system. All my computer files are WAV or AIFF.
