I was going to recommend the CD-2 by Bel Canto, but if you are looking to burn only $1k, don't even bother, keep what you got.
that DAC must be awesome, I'm a big fan of Bel Canto. I have the older DAC3, which technically is inferior to what you have. If you got a DAC that good don't take the step backward just because you have $1k to burn, perhaps a year goes by and you got $3k to burn, that might be better?
I've done a lot of parallel moving with equipment, I find it gets you no where, with that DAC of such high quality you deserve to be in the $3k range.
