The folks behind Schiit Audio aren't newbies. Just reflect on the reviews Theta used to get. Knowing that and a bit about modern DAC design imperatives might lead you to consider that digital technology today is advancing in several directions at once, and rapidly.
For sure, the lower end models from Schiit are more basic/good-value, but forthcoming models, such as the Yggdrasil, are ones to watch, I predict.
