Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

RE: No Gungnir DAC now what???

The short answer is, I don't know.

I ran a better power cord on the NuWave DAC in my previous listening room but I did not compare it to the stock cord. I just plugged the Acoustic Zen Tsunami into the DAC.

I am presently running the stock black power cord but the setup is entirely different in a different room with different electronics. My other power cords are packed away somewhere down in the basement since we moved this summer.

A better power cord might help but it's not like the stock cord is making the DAC sound bad.

On a practical note, if I were planning to buy a power cord for the DAC, I wouldn't spend a lot on it, and certainly no where near the cost of the DAC itself. It wouldn't make sense (to me anyway) to spend $1000 on a power cord for a $1000 DAC.

I just happen to own the Tsunami power cord that I bought used several years ago, but it's not in use at the moment.
