First make sure that the transport provides an SPdif output. If you are looking at early items (e.g. late 1980's) they may pre-date the protocol and will not connect to a more recent DAC.
The best co-axial digital interconnect that I have found is from Artisan. Not the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but actually good value considering the materials employed.
Unlike other posters I do not see the point in making a hierarchy of interconnects. If you have average digital but great analogue ones then, everything else being equal, you will simply end up hearing that you have an average digital wire and will want to change it a.s.a.p. Just go for the best you can at your budget point throughout.
