There's a Documents tab in the very webpage that you linked to. The Documents tab will lead you to the OWNER'S MANUAL which clearly describes the connections you are asking about..... what they are for, how to use them, etc.

If you don't know what RS232 is or GPIO, there's tons of info available on the net.

So as Tony said, RTFM man!!
