Let me clarify a bit.

I once had a Stello DA100 Sig. DAC. On their webpage they went out of their way to emphasize that this DAC accepted up to 24/96 via its USB input. What they didn't mention anywhere is that after "accepting" this the DAC dumbed it down to 16/48. So I was wondering if there was a NOS DAC that does not dumb down hi-rez but passes it through as hi-rez. Doesn't the Metrum Hex claim to do this or do I have my facts wrong again? Hope I'm making sense.
