Yeah, my reason for going to the USB DAC (Cambridge 100)wasn't really explained. Not a sound quality issue at all, more of a computer audio compatibilty thing. I was using an M2TECH 2 USB interface to the MSB with my pc for streaming. Streaming is what I use the DAC for. Otherwise, my disc players have on board DAC's that are pretty good.
Anyway, I upgraded my streaming pc from XP to 7. When I went to load the M2Tech drivers for 7, my Symantec antivirus program slammed the door on the M2Tech driver install. E-mailed M2tech about this, but no reply from them. So, long story short, I went to the Cambridge solution. So far, so good. Sound quality? well- first impression is not too bad.
