Hello all. I'm looking for a dedicated CD player within a budget.
Just to listen to redbook discs through a non-computer, normal two channel system. (Parasound P3 preamp, NAD 262 power amp, PSB Stratus Goldi speakers in normal sized listening room.
I'm approaching 64 yrs old and seek just an honest, non-fatiguing soundstage without breaking the bank. Not chasing hi-rez anymore.
I'm looking at both the Parasound ZCD and Onkyo C-7030 - both new at attractive reduced cost. I know the Parasound has more features (the one most interesting to me is potential to use it as a preamp). But the Onkyo seems more substantial (in weight) and offers most of what I need.
Anyone input from anyone familiar with these two would be very sincerely appreciated. Thanks much.
