RE: dbPoweramp utilities

The only part of dbpoweramp that I use is the 'Pop-up Information' extension in Windows Explorer. It lets you view tagging in files from Windows Explorer by mousing over a file. It's a read-only utility, not one for editing tags. There's another Explorer extension that can be enabled to let you also edit tags, but I only use Mp3tag for editing.

While there are many ways to view tags in a file, I find this method to be the handiest as I'm working with files from Explorer, since it doesn't require opening any programs to do so.

I'm not sure if it's enabled by default. To enable and configure it, go into dbpoweramp's Configuration utility, then Music Converter and you'll see a check box. Use the 'Advanced' link to configure it. You have some control over the file and codec information displayed and you can also control which tagging fields are shown.
