Looking at purchasing a Marantz SA8005 or separate DAC for digital playback. I have about 450 cd's with only about 15 being SACD. I did purchase a Rotel RDD1580 DAC last week (but can return it) thinking I would rip all my cd's on to a hard drive and eventually access them through my smart phone. I am rethinking that plan.

If I keep the Rotel, I can use the transport from either my Arcam CD93T or Denon 2900 (Both are more than 10 years old) and rip CD's at my leisure. But the Marantz also has a DAC I can use if I want to get into computer based music replay. And the Marantz will allow me to more easily play redbook and SACD's.

Does either have an advantage over the other, or is 6 one way, etc.?
