The only drawback with a battery is the duration of the charge.
I do not know which is the actual consumption of the unit.
On the charger there is a 1.5A figure but the actual consumption could be less than that.
If the consumption is 1A a 7A battery will last only 7 hours ?
Besides I cannot help but noticing that top quality digital units have traditional power supply, both linear and switching.
To be frank i see no one with batteries ... even i have the feeling that this indeed could be the ultimate solution for supply digital circuits in particular.
One thing is sure reading here ... a lower noise PS can only help.
I will try some for sure.
