It all depends on the design of the equipment. I had a very positive experience when using a battery power supply with an Audio Alchemy DITB, so when I bought the much more sophisticated DDEv3.0, I tried the same thing. I fabricated a very elaborate battery power supply, which required ±18-VDC and ±8-VDC. It made absolutely no audible difference at all because the DDEv3.0 had multiple internal voltage regulators with excellent filtering. The standard AC power supply sounded just as good as the batteries.
Best regards,
John Elison

- Good to konw and cuts through the 'battery' fantasy of 'perfect power supply' rather well. nt - Elizabeth 15:17:28 04/12/14 (0)
