As mentioned, the Arcam had its power supply significantly upgraded and that made a major difference. That is probably why the Cary hasn't blown the Arcam out of the water. I'm having a hard time figuring out if the Cary is better or just different.

It's difficult trying to figure out the Cary "at its best" because there are 5 or 6 sampling rates and the tube option with the same number of sampling options.

Right now, the big question is whether the minor upgrade offered by the used Cary (if it is indeed an upgrade) is worth $1300.
