Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

RE: Can A good CD player sound like vinyl?

An interesting corollary to that is that the earliest digital recordings initially were only available via vinyl. TELARC and Philips both released such LPs. While the musical content of such releases may have been questionable, they didn't induce the listening fatigue as the later CD versions of those same recordings did. I'll never forget the first time I played a CD at home and actually thought that either the disc or my player must be defective, so unappealing was the sound.
