I think he doubts that it is truly higher resolution but something else. But at this point I am putting words in his mouth, Maybe better ask him directly.
As I said, what I hear sounds like something extra but not something more truthful. But my A/Bing has not been very disciplined I'll concede. What I heard on a couple of occasions did not persuade me it was worth the bother. I do, however, have a hellova red book front end. And that can lead us in two different directions: either one that says a hellova good redbook front end makes SACD pointless or one that says if I heard an SACD source as good as my redbook source, I'd join up.
