I'm sure Pinkus' Ayre combo is wonderful but Redbook playback on the Sony SCD-1 was - well - poor.

I tried one and took it back. COuldn't believe it. Liked my Cary player mucho better.

Now...SACD playback, that was different. But I had 3 SACDs and 703 CDs.
