I would have to believe the output section would still deliver a current, however minute, commensurate with the reactance of the cable itself that would charge and discharge the cable just as much as if the termination end was drawing current. As inductors typically aren't considered in the audiophile "breaking in" process, we are dealing mainly with capacitance anyhow, aren't we?
