The Ayre C-5xe is the best player I have heard at any price. I was not prepared for what I heard from a player that cost $6000. I did a direct comparison with a Esoteric X-01 limited and it wasn't even close to the Ayre and the Esoteric cost over almost 3 times as much. There is a reason Ayre is back logged on the C5 for months.
