Consonance CD-120 Linear. I recently sold my Benchmark Dac-1 and CAL Delta transport and bought a Consonance based on the glowing reviews and I couldn't be happier. It possesses analog warmth but is very detailed without the analytical harshness of the Dac-1. I honestly didn't think that the Linear would surpass the Dac-1 by such a margin. I planned to keep the Dac-1 just in case, but put it up for sale 2 days after getting the Consonance. I recently started collecting vinyl and wanted a CD player that would not be a big drop-off in performance, and I honestly have to think about which source is playing when I get up to change the record because the Consonance sounds so good. If I had bought the Consonance($700 demo) before the analog playback(Marantz/Clearaudio w/Clearaudio Virtuoso and Graham Slee Era Mark 5 Reflex-$2500), I might not have gotten back into vinyl. Seriously!! I have Primaluna Prolgue 2 and Gallo 3.1's with all Harmonic Tech cabling. I am now enjoying going through my CD collection and feeling guilty about not listening to the 200 lp's that I recently purchased in the last 6 months. Got it at Quest for Sound and I have no idea what their trial/return policy is cuz I sure as hell didn't return it! Good luck!!
