No I don't hang out in the PC Audio forum. I have a Sonos system in my home. It plays files from a NAS drive that have been saved in Apple lossless through an outboard Theta DAC so I am familar with the concept, yes. I can tell you that the files saved to my NAS drive do not sound anywhere near as good as the actual CD played on the Cary 306. $8K is a bargain in the cost no object market. This is all I was trying to say. Somehow this thread got highjacked when I was trying to tell everyone that uses one box players about this really special player.
