Although the BNC connector itself is optimized for 75 ohms, rarely is the transmission from the connector to the digital board a true 75 ohms. Neither is the receiver chip a true 75 ohms as mounted on the circuit board.

So,,,,,,, having a BNC connector on the back is mostly just for looks.
