You're right about 6 year olds but being in the business for 25 years and having assembled 2 very good systems in our home that he loves to listen to, I think he has a bit of the bug. My fault really but I love sharing such a great hobby with him. I was wondering if there was some cheap CD player that had risen above the fray recently, hence my original post.

Yeah, I will be running analog into the T-Amp once I get it from Parts Express...
