That is very strange and the chassis seems to have been specially constructed. It is very tight and I don't think it is a good idea to force it open in any way. There must be some obscure interlocking device somewhere and that is why I am asking if anyone has a service manual, or already knows how to open it.

My other experience had been with the Gary 306/200. There is not one single screw on the chassis. I once took it to repair and the technician there had to use a long screw driver to open screws tightened from the inside.
