just check on the amount of 2 channel players still being made by quality manufacturers. There is also an ongoing effort by these mfgs. to continue increase the playback quality of the sound. Don't just rely on a local availabilty to make your decisions ( a lot of local shops are mostly mass market dealers ). That is the beauty of on-line buying today, you can find a lot of great choices. Look around. I still buy 2 ch. cds, there are a lot being produced by many labels and available on several on-line sites.(especially classical music), thanks a lot to the European market for this music.
