I am thankful for all the replies. And I will consider them carefully. I have about 100 cds. To be honest, I haven't bought many of them in the past few years. But I do have 1000+ records. I am not going to say which sounds better, blah this blah that. It is a matter of preference. But, I can't spend thousands on cd players. Number one, I don't have that much money. Number two, digital technology is either progressing faster than inflation or it is a marketing trick. But, I do admit that my cheap new dvd player sounds whole lot better than my 10 years old $500 dollar cd player.

Some how, I am going to chose one without auditioning a cd player.
