Those are all very nice transports. I cannot imagine that the digital output can vary so much from one player to another in this day and age.

Just speaking from personal experience with my setup. On the days when I am all stressed out and tired, I find myself unable to enjoy my setup. On the days when I am all relaxed I find myself stunned at the quality of sound I am hearing from the same setup.

How many transports do you currently have on hand? You can even use your DVD player as your transport. Do a double blind test. This should solve any lingering doubts once and for all.
