I made some progress, I figured out a way to get my cable box to output PCM from its Toslink digital out, so I was able to bring digital signal from it into Wadia.
Man, do I get a headache, 15 min is max I can listen to it.
Maybe it needs some break-in time, I do not know, or maybe it is jittery beyond any limit.
I never liked any implementation of Toslink on any of devices I have been playing with, but this one is horrible. Will see how it goes.
So at present time I have cable box and DVD player that both output digital over Toslink, if there will be no improvement over time I will try some de-jitter box (for example solution may be two Toslink inputs, then SPDIF BNC into Wadia).
