Accustic Arts Tubed DAC question

Hi,

I just purchased this DAC on agon. I read the owners manual and they are saying that nothing other than a 12AX7 should be used (they claim it will void the warranty). I have a lifetime supply of the Sylvania triple mica blackplate square getter 5751
that I would like to use in the DAC. I am fairly confident it will not damage the DAC but would like confirmation of this from owners of this DAC that have tried 5751's in it. All relevant posts are welcomed.

Who knows? The major electrical difference is plate resistence and it appears to bias differently - Frihed89 02:14:47 04/17/08 (0)
