Hello,

I have given up on DACS and transports back in 1994 (1 bad experience, my fault for not having more money to try differing transports), relied on a single CD player package. That's just me though.

I have not heard Acuphase DP57, but I read that it is nice and rich, and like honey. If you want dynamics, Simaudio (Supernova?) ARC has good players, I do not know the price of ARC CD3 mk 2. I did hear Marantz 11s1, very nice, great detail, not as synamic as some, but very involving. I understand the SA-11s2 is even better for same money ($3500). Look at availability, stability of company, reliability and warranty too.
