Pairing Dacs and Transports was a nightmare for me, so much so that I sold a very expensive dac (for me) because the only way i could get it to sound great was to pair it with an even more expensive transport made by the same company. That experience is etched into my brain.

MY advice: be very careful out there. Don't buy any dac-transport combo you have not heard first-hand, playing together. The same transport (or Dac) can sound very different using another Dac (or transport).
