The question is how good is Denon as a standalone transport? The idea first came when a guy at Mcintosh message board on audiokarma claimed he didn't hear much difference between Denon/MDA 1000 (McIntosh $9000 DAC) and McIntosh 1000 ($8000) transport with the same DAC. Sounds absurd but you know, in Hi Fi miracles sometimes happen!
