Actually we are working on solutions to that:
- We have done a prototype of a stepped attenuator which fits the Medea output. It performs as expected (i.e. excellent) and we plan to put that into production. It is called Absyrtos.
- For customers who have a Jason (our CD transport) and a Medea we recommend to use the level control at the Jason in order to omit the preamp. Works fine. The level contol in the Jason is in the digital domain of course, but with the CD being a 16 bit source and the Medea having about a 20 bit quality level and the Jason having POW-R dithering built in the level control in the digital domain is transparent to a great extent.
- We are working on a combined analog / digital preamp.
