I have a Monica NOS dac with a 6688 tube output stage. This could be what you are looking for if you can build it yourself, and if DIYParadise has the Monica in stock. I believe it is TDA 1541 based. I bought mine already built from another DIYer.

The sound is much more detailed than what I had built in to my player and my HT receiver, but I've never compared it to anything high-end. I disconnected it last week as I had a 24/96 disk that I burned from an LP that it couldn't handle, so maybe I'll do a little A/B comparison before I swap it back in (semi)permanently. 24/96 blows away any CD if you ask me, but let's not start that argument again.
