As Rich asked, which CD player are you asking about:

the original CD2,
the CD2.1x
or
the new CD2.1x/II ?

To Rich's feedback on the original CD 2, I can add that the CD2.1x came with Jensen 0.33uf copper foil PIO caps. I replaced mine with 0.47uf Audio Note copper foil PIO caps which were a distinct improvement. They are much larger than the originals and I "mounted" mine using a plastic zip tie around the AN cap looped to interesect at right angles with another zip tie around another large cap mounted on end on the board. (Not officially recommended or sanctioned, just what I did.)

I'm hoping that you don't mean the new CD2.1x/II for two reasons:
it already has AN copper foil caps in it :-)
and DIY tinkering with the guts would void the warrantee. :-(
