Here's my comments from an earlier post:
"First up was the Toshiba SD-4000. I upgraded the firmware to the latest version since Toshiba had shipped them with a defect causing loss of audio lip sync. The unit was plagued by serious top chassis vibration when playing Audio CDs (didn't check vibration with DVD) and with CD was trimming off the first second or two of every track. Build quality was very poor. Very limited controls on the unit's chassis, so if you had better take care of the remote. Back it went."
You don't get good for 60 bucks.
