Actually, my jump was from a CDS3 with the 555PS to the CD555. The improvement was worthwhile, it's just that I find that the difference between the CDX2 and CDS3 to be much more fundamental -- the sound is "different" while the jump from CDS3 to CD555 is a case of "more."

More is good.
