Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Once you start with the lies, it becomes hard to stop, eh?

<< The unit was burned in for a full week before serious auditioning began. The evaluation continued for another 8 days and involved 3 other people who listened indepedantly from one another. >>

Uh, and how does your "brother-in-law" fit into all of this?

<< The player stinks and that is why it was returned to Ayre. >>

I don't care if you (or anybody else) thinks the player stinks. Nothing is perfect, and there is no way that everyone will reach the same opinion. (By the way, I hope that your current speakers are better than the ones that Stereophile tested. You know -- the ones with frequency response variations of +/- 10 dB -- see link below. That just might affect the way you judge electronics.) What I object to is being lied to and signed agreements being broken. I also object to Salvatore's slimy methods. No wonder he keeps his "associates" anonymous! It is only by being deceptive that he can try to get people to believe him.

And as far as why the player was returned to Ayre, it was only because we demanded that you do so.
