The problem with all of this is that you're making technical assumptions, connecting a few hypothetical dots, and posting your conclusions to the general public. There are plenty of people out there that take your every word for gospel because you make it sound so convincing. Ironically, you are contributing the very consumer dissatisfaction that you wish to avoid.

To anyone who wants to know exactly what the dap10 does please do the following :

Borrow the dealer's demo unit over the weekend. Check it out late Saturday afternoon and return it their next working day. (This is a very reasonable request and common practice.) Then you will know what it does, what it is worth, and if it is compatible with your gear.
