I only stated the warning based on technical application. One of the biggest causes in consumer dissatisfaction in recent time is product incompatibility that the owner himself never suspected, yet appears obvious to someone who deals with audio from a technical angle.

An example of this is mating a passive volume control to a long set of interconnect cables, where the owner never suspected a performance compromise due to cable capacitance. But is obvious to one aware of the incompatibility, technically speaking.

Also note I stated "might", as opposed to "will". I do not know the product, but am deeply familiar with DAC function. I was wary of potential problems that could occur under certain conditions, and I think such information should be known.
