if your going to use the room equalisation ....which gives -/+ 15db [off the top of my head] then you need to set the i/o output at -10db this will effectively give you 10db worth of headroom to playwith in the deq settings. giving you an output signal that of the same magnitude as the input signal....
I've used one of these unit like this for several years now with very good results.
