Thanks for your input.

Having has a quick read of the AMR-77 review Thorsten claims he has rung the extra performance offered by the S2 version by some clever circuitry in the 77 CD player.

The images in the review show 1541A versions, not even S1.

Based on your comments it would suggest you have compared S1 to S2 versions, is this correct and what were your sonic findings?
