Thanks everyone! I think I need to compare these models, then buy one of them:

Onix CD-5
CEC CD3300R
Original CD-A8S
Shandling CDS-100

The Rotel 1072 I think is not worth the extra $200-$300, and I've never been crazy about NAD cd players, although the 542 sounds great, from what I've heard.

Thanks again to all who posted here. I'm still open to any other suggestions, including DAC advice, power cord upgrades and cables, as well as dealer suggestions.
