Purchase advice: Denon 3910 or Pioneer DV-79avi

I listen to redbook CD from audio server, however, right now I am looking to
buy new DVD player, perhaps the last one.

My situation is as follows:

1. Tempted with falling prices of both DV-79avi and 3910

2. Do not have any DVD-A or SACD but would like to have platform to play them "just in case" since blue ray does not play them.

3. Would like to buy one that is better sounding with redbook if video playback is the same.

4. If one is vastly superior in DVD playback, I would buy that one.

Having in mind steps 1-4 , if you were in my shoes what would you do?
